Objectography set

August 19th, 2015. In between work for the Forestry Commission, I’ve made a rig based on an Ikea desk frame to speed up production of “objectographs” and shot another 200 pebbles for a personal project I began last year. I wish I had this set when I shot several hundred leaves for objectographs last autumn! My preoccupation with the beautiful pebbles found on Auchmithie beach is becoming a little obsessive: I was determined to stop at 500 pebbles (which is where I’ve got to so far) but every time I go back to the beach and see more stones… Sometimes you just NEED to make a piece of work, even if you’re not sure what it’s for or who will use it. Thanks to Iona for shooting and appearing in these pictures.
