Iceland back-to-back for Wild Photography Holidays

March 26th, 2015. In two of the toughest but most rewarding tours we’ve run for Wild Photography Holidays, we’ve just guided two lots of guests (along with Jan Davies on the second tour) in western and southern Iceland during the worst storms for years and under the most impressive auroras. We narrowly avoided stranding as Iceland shut down on Tuesday 10th March and on the return leg had to delay our departure from Hali to avoid winds gusting to over 60m/s. But we also had spectacular ice on the beach, visited a fabulous ice cave, witnessed a “7” aurora, saw arctic fox and gyr falcon and…well, see the pictures below. We return in late September for Wild Photography Holidays.
